Leaders Forum 2016

On March 17 over 40 AMSRO member organisations came together at the annual Leaders Forum and enjoyed a two-day program of world-class guest speakers and networking opportunities over sumptuous dinners and wine-tasting.  A copy of the full program is here.

Held at the heritage listed Finger Wharf in Woolloomooloo, Sydney (on The Blue Room, a floating conference venue), Facing the Future – Change, Challenge and Collaborate, explored our industry’s future, the business practices, techniques and leadership skills that bring results in a changing world and the exciting opportunities that exist through collaboration.

Program highlights included; 

The Agility Advantage, which looked at how to Un-think, Out-think and Re-think with The Impossible Institute’s, Dan Gregory and Keiran Flanagan; Leading on the Edge, with Antarctic expedition leader, Rachael Robertson who spent ten long months in darkness with the temperature hovering around minus 35 degrees,  with no escape from her workplace or staff… with no way in, and no way out, Rachael explained why respect trumps harmony every time; (Acting) Australian Information Commissioner, Timothy Pilgrim, spoke on Privacy Directions and the need for flexibility when it comes to areas of cross border co-operation; David Bartlett, presented The Great Digital Disruption and showed delegates how digital is changing everything we do!;  A.T. Kearney’s Nigel Andrade, co-author of Australia 2034 – Luckier by Design, spoke on Australia’s economic capacity to shape its future.

AMSRO’s President, Lee Naylor, announced industry plans to collaborate with exploratory talks regarding a potential merger between AMSRO and the AMSRS underway.
